BRAC and BRAC University jointly organised ‘The Way’ (Agamir Poth – The Path to the Future), a day-long youth engagement event that brought together students, young entrepreneurs, and professionals to inspire leadership, innovation, and social change.
More than 250 participants from various universities and institutions joined interactive sessions, debates, exhibitions, film screenings, music therapy, and showcases of youth-led projects alongside BRAC’s initiatives.
In the keynote session ‘The Science of Finding a Way’, BRAC Executive Director Asif Saleh urged young people to think beyond conventional boundaries. “Don’t get boxed into what society tells you. You can make things happen as a change-maker, regardless of the profession you are in,” he said, stressing the need for bold ambitions and persistence for long-term transformation.
BRAC University Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar noted that true fulfilment lies in giving back, encouraging youth to innovate by identifying societal gaps.
The event featured ‘SparkTalks’ highlighting resilience stories, a parliamentary-style debate, and a panel discussion ‘Beyond One Way’ with media, business, and social sector leaders. Musical group therapy led by Armeen Musa and a gamified design thinking sprint, Design Quest: Solve for Society, engaged participants in collaborative problem-solving.
Youth-led projects such as Jotner Dokan, Eco Care, and Ujjibon were exhibited alongside innovations from BRAC University’s Robotics and Environment Clubs. BRAC’s programmes, including Climate Change, Education, Social Empowerment, and Mental Health services, also showcased their initiatives.
With vibrant participation, ‘The Way’ reaffirmed BRAC’s commitment to empowering youth as future leaders of change in building an inclusive and innovative Bangladesh.
