Two people died and three others sustained injuries as a wall collapsed on them due to a nor'wester at Dhamrai area in Savar on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Anisur Rahman, 53, hailed from Naogaon district, and Saharul Alam, 53, hailed from Gaibandha district. They worked as security guards in the SS Agro Complex Limited in the area.
Police said the rooftop and a wall of a room at the farm suddenly collapsed on seven people at night after they took shelter during the nor'wester along with heavy rainfall, leaving five of them critically injured.
Later, locals rescued them and took them to nearby Enam Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared two dead, said Md Yusuf Ali, in-charge of the hospital.
