Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott and all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai have been fined for breaching ICC code of conduct during the second T20I against Bangladesh.

Trott and Omarzai were docked 15 percent of their match fees for a Level 1 Code of Conduct breach during the second T20I against Bangladesh.

Omarzai was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct, relating to “using language, actions or gestures which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.”

The incident took place during the 15th over of the game when Omarzai gave Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy a close send-off after his wicket.

In addition to the fine, the duo received one demerit point, which is their first offence in a 24-month period. The pair accepted the sanctioned Match Referee Neeyamur Rashid and there was no need for a formal hearing.
