A pair of Bangladesh's most experienced campaigners have been handsomely rewarded for their stellar performances against Zimbabwe with noteworthy advancements in the latest ICC Men's T20 Player Rankings.

The Tigers have dominated the first three encounters of their five-match home series against Zimbabwe, and these convincing victories have been built upon some rock-solid bowling displays.

Spearheading the Bangladesh bowling attack has been the potent pace duo of Taskin Ahmed and Sheikh Mahedi Hasan.

Just weeks away from the commencement of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, both players are brimming with confidence.

Taskin, the express seamer, has been a revelation, claiming a remarkable six wickets at a miserly average of just 8.83 across his three appearances against Zimbabwe.

This phenomenal display has propelled him a significant six places up the rankings to a career-best position of 26th on the latest T20I bowler rankings.

Mahedi, the wily spinner, has mirrored Taskin's success with an equally impressive upward trajectory.

The 29-year-old has snagged three crucial wickets in his two outings against the African side, and this has seen him climb a commendable six spots to a position of joint-22nd on the same list.

While the Bangladesh bowling attack has been firing on all cylinders, there have also been bright sparks with the bat.

Young right-hander Towhid Hridoy has emerged as the leading run-scorer in the series thus far.

The 23-year-old prodigy, who was previously outside the top 100, has rocketed up the rankings to a position of joint-90th on the T20I batter rankings.

This impressive feat is attributed to his outstanding tally of 127 runs, including two unbeaten knocks against Zimbabwe, which demonstrate his composure and finishing prowess.

Another seasoned campaigner, the ever-reliable Mahmudullah, has also shown signs of good form.

The experienced batsman has nudged up two places in the rankings to a position of joint-81st.

However, the summit of the T20I batter rankings remains firmly occupied by India's batting powerhouse, Suryakumar Yadav.
