The mobile court of the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has fined three establishments Tk 60,000 for various irregularities, including making bakery products in a dirty environment. Executive Magistrate of the Civil
Service Commission Chaiti Sarvabidya led the operation on Sunday.
During the operation, Bread Basket on Sadarghat Road was fined Tk 20,000, New Malancha was fined Tk 10,000, and Bismillah Hotel and Jhal Bitan Factory on Alkaron Road was fined Tk 30,000.
CCC Public Relations Officer Aziz Ahmed said that during the operation, evidence was found of bakery products being made in unhygienic conditions, using low-quality colors and flavors that were expired, repeatedly using burnt oil, and storing expired food products for sale.
