Over 4,550 farmers in Jhenaidah Sadar received seeds and fertiliSer free of cost as incentives in the Kharip-1 season from the upazila agriculture office on Saturday. The agricultural inputs were distributed at Sadar upazila parishad premises in a simple ceremony. They were distributed to enhance the farming and its yield.
Organised by Jhenaidah Sadar agriculture office, deputy director of the department of agriculture extension (DAE) Sasti Chandra Roy, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Razia Akter Chowdhury, upazila agriculture officer (UAO) Nur E Nabi and additional agricultural extension officer Junayed Habib among others were present.
Jhenaidah Sadar agriculture office sources said each and every farmer are getting five kilograms of improved variety paddy seeds and 20 kilograms of chemical fertilizer as incentives to boost their safe crop production in the season. The inputs will help make the farming profitable and enhance their income, DAE sources said.
