Once known as a popular face on television, Sabila Nur has successfully made her silver screen debut with the action-packed film Taandob, starring opposite Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan. The film, filled with twists, intense action, and surprise cameos, has already left a mark in Bangladesh’s film history.
Sabila shared her excitement about the audience’s warm response. “I was nervous at first, especially during the shoot of Lichur Bagane, but people have loved my performance, both in multiplexes and single-screen halls,” she said. She added that working with a megastar like Shakib Khan was a dream come true for her.
Speaking about her experience on set, Sabila recalled the first day of shooting in Rajshahi at 5:30 AM, where she felt anxious sharing the screen with Shakib Khan. “But everyone made me feel at home. Shakib bhai was very kind and supportive,” she said.
The actress praised director Raihan Rafi’s calm and professional working style, saying, “He knows exactly what he wants, and it keeps the entire team focused.”
Despite Taandob featuring many stars including Jaya Ahsan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, and Shahiduzzaman Selim, Sabila said she never felt overshadowed. “I knew the limitations and strength of my role and gave it my best.”
When asked about shifting between films and television, she mentioned that her television career built her identity, and she isn’t planning to leave it behind. However, she is eager to work on more films with strong stories and meaningful messages.
Sabila also expressed her wish to break the stereotype about actresses in commercial films. “Rather than saying it, I want to prove it through my work,” she said.
