Nahid Rana’s dedication to fast bowling is impressive, and his ability to consistently deliver speeds over 140 km/h has made him a notable figure in cricket. His focus on maintaining line and length while also being able to deliver effective bouncers shows a well-rounded skill set. With 63 wickets from 15 matches since his debut, he's shown significant potential.

His performance in the Bangladesh Premier League, especially when clocking speeds above 145 km/h, has not only caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts but also earned him a place in the national squad. It will be interesting to see how he leverages his strengths in the upcoming first Test against Sri Lanka. In the latest season of the BPL, he participated in only two games and claimed a single wicket in each, conceding 34 and 33 runs, respectively.

“My goal is to achieve maximum speed in my bowling. I also aim to be consistent with my line and length. Additionally, I have a knack for delivering bouncers, and I'll put in that effort whenever I have the opportunity,” Rana shared with the press on Monday.

“Speed in bowling is something that feels instinctive to me. It's an integral part of my training and fitness routine, and focusing on it is what enables me to bowl quickly,” he further explained.

The inclusion of Rana, along with Shoriful Islam, Khaled Ahmed, and Mushfik Hasan, suggests that the Bangladesh team is looking to bolster their pace attack, which could add an exciting dynamic to their bowling strategy.
