It was supposed to held Third year final and Degree (Pass) first year examinations of National University (NU) on May 8. Due to Upazila Parishod election these exam have been postponed. In two separate circulars, National University declared the postponement of these two exams.
It is stated in the circulars that Honors third year examination will be held on May 9 and degree pass and certificate course examination on May 14 as per the revised schedule. Apart from this, other previously announced dates and schedules will remain unchanged. All the examinees are advised to attain in the exam to follow new exam date and directions.
Sixth Upazila Parishod election for the first phase will be held on May 8. Various educational institutions will be used as polling stations on election day. On the other hand, teachers, officials and employees of various educational institutions are appointed as polling officers. It is not possible for such institutions’ teacher to conduct the exam as well the the duty as a polling agent. The examination schedule has been changed as it is not possible to take the polls and conduct the examination simultaneously on the same day.
Considering the ambiguous situation the Election Commission directed the NU authority to reschedule the exam day that was supposed to be held on election day.
