North South University's South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) recently welcomed Nepalese public sector officials for a five-day Case Study Based Learning (CBL) program from April 28 to May 2, 2024.

This was the second collaboration between SIPG and the Government of Nepal, aimed to enhance the skills of Nepali civil servants. Led by SIPG faculty and Bangladeshi government experts, the training focused on practical and theoretical knowledge through real-life case studies. It aimed to strengthen decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities for effective public service. The closing ceremony featured HE Mr Ghanshyam Bhandari, Nepal's Ambassador to Bangladesh,  alongside NSU faculty and officials.

Ambassador Bhandari expressed gratitude for the strengthening educational and cultural ties between Bangladesh and Nepal, highlighting the training as a testament to this cooperation.

Professor Sk Tawfique M Haque highlighted SIPG's longstanding partnership with Nepali civil service, dating back to 2008. Dr Abdur Rob Khan emphasised NSU's commitment to future collaborations with Nepali institutions.

The program covered topics such as negotiation, decision-making, AI in case studies, and effective writing, supplemented by a field visit to a government project in Bangladesh.
