Jamalpur’s Private Clinic and Diagnostic Owners' Association has officially begun distributing nomination forms for its upcoming executive committee election. According to the announced schedule, voting for three key positions—President, General Secretary, and Organising Secretary—will be held on Saturday, 4 October.
Chief Election Commissioner Dr Mohammad Azizul Haque, also the Civil Surgeon of Jamalpur, commenced the distribution of nomination forms from his office on Sunday afternoon. On the first day, two candidates collected nomination papers, confirmed official sources.
The election will be conducted via secret ballot for the aforementioned three posts. The remaining positions within the 21-member executive committee will be filled later in consultation with all association members.
Dr Haque stated that nomination forms can be collected and submitted until Thursday, 18 September. He assured that all necessary preparations are being made to ensure a fair and smooth election process.
Among the first candidates to collect nomination forms were Md Ashraful Islam Bulbul, Managing Director of Hazrat Shahjamal (R.) Hospital and former General Secretary, who is again contesting for the same post. Rashedul Islam Chowdhury Sabuj, Managing Director of Doctors Clinic, collected a form for the Organising Secretary position.
Bulbul expressed hope for a fair election and called for unity against any attempts to sabotage the process.
