Rainfall has increased across the country as the monsoon is active. It has been raining in the capital Dhaka since Tuesday morning. This rainfall may continue till June 22 (Sunday). After that, the rainfall may gradually decrease.
Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to media on Tuesday afternoon.
He said, "The monsoon activity is causing rain across the country. This rain will continue for the rest of this week as well.
The rainfall may decrease slightly after June 22. It is raining intermittently in Dhaka as well. There is a high possibility of heavy rain on the coastal area. Rain may be less in Rajshahi and Rangpur."
The Meteorological Office's regular forecast says that day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country on Tuesday. Rain is likely in most parts of the country.
The country's lowest temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda on Tuesday morning. The lowest temperature in the capital was 26.3 degrees Celsius.
