To make the visit of the popular tourist destination of Sada Pathor in Sylhet comfortable and affordable, a low-cost air-conditioned bus service was launched on Tuesday on the Sylhet-Sadapathor route.
Sylhet-Companyganj-Bholaganj and Gowainghat Bus-Minibus Owners’ Association introduced the bus service.
Himadri Paribahan, a local transport service operator, officially began the AC bus service with a fare fixed at just Tk 100.
Through this initiative, tourists can enjoy the scenic beauty of Sadapathor by traveling in an air-conditioned vehicle at a low cost.
Besides, they also announced that travel will be completely free for disabled tourists while students will receive a 50% discount upon showing a valid student ID.
The organisers of this bus service have arranged various facilities for tourists, including rest areas and changing rooms at the bus stand and the destination.
Aiming to ensure a safe, comfortable and dignified journey for tourists, this new service aims to make Sadapathor travel more accessible and appealing.
On the first day alone, the initiative saw enthusiastic interest from travelers.
The organisers also indicated that there are plans to expand the service in the future.
Humayun Ahmed Mashuq, chairman of the Sylhet-Companyganj-Bholaganj and Gowainghat Bus-Minibus Owners’ Association, said a large office has been set up in Sylhet’s Ambarkhana area for the convenience of passengers.
Tourists coming from outside Sylhet can rest there, with access to modern bathroom facilities.
All buses to Sadapathor will depart from this office premises.
