A joint team of armed forces and police arrested Limon Ali ,40, Senior Convener of the Jubo Dal of the Chuadanda municipality unit with a foreign pistol and some local arms from his house at the Bus stand area of the town in the early hours of Saturday (June-21).
Arrested Limon is the son Abul Hossain, former Municipal Councillor of ward-7 Abdul Hossain of the town.
According to the sources of Chuadanga Army Camp, acting on a tip off, a joint team of Armed Forces and Police headed by Captain Soumik Ahmed Ayan(36 AD's) in a raid recovered a foreign 9-mm pistol, one magazine, one android phone, four button phones, four sharp chapatis, one Chinese knife and a Ramdao from the house of Limon on early Saturday morning.
A firearm case was filed against arrested Limon and was handed over to Chuadanga Police Station. Khlaedur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Chudanga PS informed arrested Limon will the sent to the court.
