Jahangirnagar University (JU) has announced admission for 12 language certificate courses under its Language Teaching Centre for the academic year 2024-2025. The admission process has already started, and interested students can apply until July 17.
The university is offering courses in English Communication Skills, English for Professional Purpose, Japanese, French, German, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, and Malay languages. The duration of these courses will be five or six months, depending on the subject. Each course includes either 60 or 70 hours of classes.
To apply, candidates must have passed the HSC or an equivalent examination. A total of 40 students will be admitted to each course. The admission fee has been fixed at Tk 3,200 for internal students, which includes current students, teachers, officers, and employees of Jahangirnagar University. For external students, the admission fee is Tk 5,200.
Interested applicants can collect and submit the application form at the Language Centre office, located in the Student-Teacher Centre building of the university, between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm on working days. Along with the application form, candidates must submit two passport-size colour photographs, a copy of their SSC or equivalent certificate, and an attested copy of their HSC marksheet.
Classes will be held twice a week from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The class routine and starting date will be announced after the completion of the admission process. Further details about the admission process and courses are available on the university’s official website.
