International Standard University (ISU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Institute for IT Management (GIIM), USA, aiming to enhance international cooperation in IT education and management.
The signing ceremony was held on Thursday evening at the ISU Mohakhali campus. Mohammad Faizullah Kawshik, Registrar of ISU, and Professor Dr. Jerry Luftman, Founder and Managing Director of GIIM, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. The event was attended by Professor Mohammad Abul Kashem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Professor Dr. Md. Hakikur Rahman, Chairperson of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department.
Under this MoU, ISU students will have the opportunity to enroll in GIIM’s master’s programs with special tuition waivers. They will be able to complete their degrees by taking courses both from GIIM and partnering universities in the USA, opening new doors for them in the fields of Information Systems and MBA.
The agreement also includes provisions for joint initiatives in research, training, academic exchanges, international conferences, and collaborative projects in IT management and education.
Professor Jerry Luftman expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying it would play a vital role in expanding global academic networking in the rapidly changing world of technology and education.
This partnership marks another step in ISU’s commitment to equipping its students with global-standard knowledge and skills for the international job market.
