IsDB-BISEW opens application for free IT training with job opportunity

Applications are now open for the 68th round of the IT Scholarship Program offered by the Islamic Development Bank-Bangladesh Islamic Solidarity Education Waqf (IsDB-BISEW). This programme provides eight and a half months of fully free IT training for graduates from non-IT backgrounds.

A total of 165 seats are available in this round. Successful candidates will receive professional IT training worth about two lakh taka at no cost. After completing the course, most graduates are placed in jobs at home and abroad. According to IsDB-BISEW, around 92 percent of graduates have secured employment in Bangladesh and overseas.

This long-running programme is a joint initiative of the Government of Bangladesh and the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah. It aims to create employment opportunities by providing international-standard vocational IT education to young people in Bangladesh.

Applicants must be below 30 years of age by the application deadline on July 15. Graduates with Bachelor, Fazil, Masters, or Kamil degrees are eligible. Students currently studying for Masters or Kamil can also apply. However, those with B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.Sc. Engineering, MBBS, or Law degrees cannot apply.

Admission tests will be held in Dhaka and Chattogram, covering Mathematics and English through an MCQ format.

IsDB-BISEW has been running this program for 19 years and has already produced 17,276 IT professionals working in over 3,254 organizations worldwide.
