Inter-univ Science and Technology Festival concludes at SUST

A two-day Inter-university Science and Technology Festival concluded in a festive atmosphere at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Sylhet. The event was organised by ‘SUST Science Arena’, a university-based science organisation, with students from 14 universities across the country participating.

The closing ceremony was held on Saturday afternoon at the university’s mini auditorium, with SUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr A M Sarwaruddin Chowdhury present as the chief guest.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sazedul Karim, Treasurer Professor Dr Md Ismail Hossain, and Director of the Research Centre Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad were present as special guests, among others.

In his speech as chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Dr A M Sarwaruddin Chowdhury said, “Such events play an important role in enhancing students’ skills and self-confidence.”

He congratulated all the winners and participants of the competition, adding that such science-based contests would help students reach international standards. Through their success, the reputation of the university will be further enhanced.

A total of 14 universities’ students, including Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sylhet Agricultural University, Leading University, Daffodil International University, and Independent University, participated in the competition. A total of 22 students were awarded from 11 different events.
