Police have arrested two people in connection with their alleged involvement in the killing of a woman over a family feud.
The arrestees were Babul Mia, 47, husband of victim Bithi Akther and Md Samrat, 20.
Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Talebur Rahman said Bithi Akter went missing from her house on September 14.
Monwara Begum, mother of Bithi lodged a general diary with Cantonment Police Station .
On September 18, police recovered the body of an unidentified woman from a field under Rajuk sector 17 of Turag area.
Later, the victim's mother identified the body. A case was filed with Turag Police Station.
After analyzing the CCTV footage and with the help of technology, police arrested Babul from Mirpur DOHS area on September 20.
Following the confessional statement of Babul, police arrested Samrat from Kalapani area in Mirpur-12 on that day.
After primary interrogation, the arrestees admitted their guilt saying that they killed Bithi over a family feud.
