Detectives from the Chuadanga District Detective Branch (DB) have arrested a drug dealer with 2.5 kilograms of cannabis during an anti-narcotics operation. The arrested individual, Imdadul (45), is the son of the late Keyamat Ali from Kurulgachi village in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.
The arrest took place on Friday in front of the Police Lines Primary School in Chuadanga town.
According to a press release from the district police, acting under the direction of Superintendent of Police Khandaker Golam Mowla (BPM-Service), the DB conducted the operation on a paved road near the school gate in Hatkaluganj.
Imdadul was arrested at the scene with the cannabis. A regular case has since been filed against him at Chuadanga Sadar Police Station.
