Agriventure Limited and Dhaka Bank PLC jointly organised a farmers’ meetup titled “Krishok Motobinimoy Shobha–Shohoj Orthayone Shomriddho Agami” at Achlai Government Primary School in Shibganj, Bogura, to strengthen rural financial inclusion and promote sustainable farming.
Dhaka Bank’s Deputy Managing Director & CEMO Md. Mostaque Ahmed attended the event as Chief Guest, while Executive Vice President & Head of Agriculture Banking Unit Md. Katebur Rahman joined as Guest of Honour.
Agriventure’s Managing Director & CEO Rabib Ridwan and Co-founder & Executive Chairman Amirul Mostafa Arefeen also participated with their teams.
Farmers at the event voiced concerns about traditional monthly loan repayment systems that fail to match crop cycles, often creating financial strain. In response, Dhaka Bank and Agriventure proposed flexible financing models aligned with farmers’ income patterns. They also highlighted digital loan solutions, timely disbursement, and training programs to improve harvesting efficiency and reduce post-harvest losses.
Through this initiative, Dhaka Bank and Agriventure reaffirmed their commitment to building a more inclusive, technology-driven agricultural financing ecosystem that empowers farmers across Bangladesh.
