The Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided vital relief supplies to flood-affected families in Parshuram upazila of Feni on Sunday.
Under the coordination of the Coast Guard East Zone, essential aid was distributed across several severely impacted areas, including Satkuchia, Dakkhin Berabaria, Shailia, Sahebnagar, and Chitolia.
Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid, media officer at Coast Guard Headquarters, confirmed the initiative. He noted that since its inception, the Coast Guard has been dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities in coastal and disaster-prone regions, in addition to maintaining law and order in riverine and maritime zones.
This relief effort comes in response to extensive flooding caused by continuous heavy rainfall and rising upstream waters, which have displaced thousands and left many trapped in low-lying areas of Chhagalnaiya, Phulgazi, Parshuram, and Sadar upazilas.
The Coast Guard reiterated its commitment to continuing such public welfare initiatives, ensuring support reaches those most in need during times of crisis.
