BSF pushes back 9 thru Mujibnagar border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over nine Bangladeshi nationals to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) through a flag meeting at the Mujibnagar border. The meeting took place on Thursday near border pillar 105.

The individuals had reportedly crossed into India illegally at various times. The BGB was led by Mujibnagar Company Commander Subedar Md. Abul Bashar, while the BSF side was represented by Inspector Sajal Kumar, Company Commander of Hridaypur.

All nine individuals are residents of Faridpur district and include two men, one woman, and six children. They are: Md Abu Said (45), Beauty Begum (40), Md Samran (7), Shimla Akter (11), Bodi (39), Dolly Akter (25), Lamia Akter (6), Ali Akbar (4), and Sadia (1).

The returnees have been handed over to Mujibnagar police, who confirmed that legal procedures will follow.
