The BNP is celebrating 80th birthday of the party’s Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Friday with various programmes across the country.
Affiliates of the party, including the Bangladesh Kormojibi Dal and the Jatiyotabadi Muktijoddha Dal, held separate discussion meetings at the National Press Club to mark the occasion.

Doa and milad mahfils were being held at mosques and BNP offices nationwide.
In Dhaka, the party has arranged a doa and milad mahfil on the ground floor of its central office in Nayapaltan, where senior leaders are being present, according to a BNP press release issued on 13 August.
