The inauguration ceremony of Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025 of the Bangladesh Air Force was held at the Air Headquarters Auditorium in Dhaka Cantonment on Tuesday.

Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, was present on the occasion as the chief guest.

The theme of this year’s Cyber Security Awareness Month is "Cyber Awareness is Everyone’s Responsibility: Every Click Matters."

Air Chief Hasan Mahmood Khan said the evolution of modern warfare and administration has made airspace and cyberspace inseparable. Just as we defend our airspace, land, and sea, we must also defend the invisible boundaries of our digital networks.

He said that cyber threats can emerge at any time, from anywhere.

The BAF Chief also emphasized the importance of awareness, vigilance, and discipline to stay secure.

The Chief of Air Staff appreciated the various steps taken by the Directorate of Cyber Warfare and Information Technology to combat cyber threats.

He emphasized the careful use of digital devices and increasing awareness, saying that cyber security is a collective discipline that requires constant vigilance and shared responsibility, according to an ISPR media release.

He called for a unified effort to make the Bangladesh Air Force dominant in the skies, secure in its networks, and supreme in the digital battlespace.

Selected officers from Air Force bases/units in Dhaka, airmen, MODC personnel, and civilian members were present at the event. Representatives from bases outside Dhaka joined the event via video teleconference.

Various activities will be conducted throughout the month to increase cyber awareness among Air Force members, their families, and students of various schools and colleges.
