Popular Bangladeshi rock band Aurthohin is set to begin its maiden tour of the United States later this year. The tour, running from late October to mid-December, will include concerts in major cities such as New York, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles, Chicago, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
Aurthohin’s frontman Saidus Salehin Sumon, also known as Bassbaba Sumon, had been off-stage for years due to serious health issues, including cancer and multiple spinal surgeries. These challenges kept the band away from both local and international performances.
The band’s manager Ehsanul Haque said, “We’ve been planning this tour for years. Sumon bhai's health had kept us from traveling, but now he has finally agreed. We are thrilled to connect with fans in the US.”
According to Haque, concerts will be held in at least 12 cities, with specific dates and venues to be revealed soon on Aurthohin’s official Facebook page and other platforms.
In addition to the tour news, Haque also shared that fellow rock band Artcell is preparing to release "Phoenix-er Diary 2" later this year. The first volume, "Phoenix-er Diary 1," was released earlier to great acclaim.
Aurthohin’s current lineup includes Sumon on vocals and bass guitar, Mark Don on drums, and Ehtesham Ali on guitar. With this US tour, Aurthohin is set to reignite its connection with fans and reaffirm its presence on the international stage.
Fans in the US can expect a powerful return from one of Bangladesh’s most iconic rock bands as they bring their unique sound overseas for the first time.
