Army holds passing-out parade for Infantry, Artillery and Air Defence Corps recruits

Bangladesh Army on Tuesday held the Chief of Army Staff’s Passing-out Parade for the 2025 recruit batch of its Infantry Regiment, Artillery Regiment and Army Air Defence Corps at two cantonments in Rajshahi and Chattogram.

The parade for the Infantry Regiment recruits took place at the Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC) in Rajshahi Cantonment. Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Chief of General Staff of the Bangladesh Army, attended the ceremony as chief guest, reviewed the parade, and took the salute.

On the same day, the passing-out parade for Artillery Regiment and Army Air Defence Corps recruits was held at the Artillery Centre and School in Halishahar, Chattogram. Mir Mushfiqur Rahman, General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Chattogram Area, graced the event as chief guest.

Through the ceremonial parade, new soldiers officially joined the Infantry, Artillery, and Army Air Defence Corps of the Bangladesh Army.

Addressing the recruits, the chief guests highlighted the proud tradition and contributions of these corps to national security. They urged the new soldiers to prepare themselves through modern, specialised training to meet 21st-century security challenges and to dedicate themselves to serving the nation with commitment and discipline.

Senior military and civil officials, JCOs, soldiers, invited guests, family members of the recruits, and members of the media attended the ceremonies and enjoyed the parade.
