The small screen audience in Bangladesh always eagerly waits for the new works of popular actor Ziaul Faruk Apurba. Loved on both sides of Bengal, Apurba’s dramas have a huge fan following, and among them, his on-screen pairing with actress Totini has become a favourite for drama lovers.
Talented director Rubel Hasan first brought the Apurba-Totini duo together in the drama Bohiragoto, which quickly earned praise. Totini, who was at the beginning of her acting career at that time, came into the limelight through this production.
Following that success, Rubel Hasan has directed another drama titled Fire Asha, featuring the same popular pair. The story idea of this new production came from none other than Apurba himself. Mezbah Uddin Sumon has written the screenplay based on Apurba’s concept.
The drama is currently available on a YouTube channel, drawing the attention of online audiences.
Speaking about the drama, Apurba said, “I acted in two back-to-back dramas under Rubel’s direction. Both stories were selected with the audience’s taste in mind. Rubel, cinematographer Kamrul Islam Shuvo, and the entire team have worked with dedication. I always give my hundred percent in every project. It’s clear that Totini has improved a lot. I hope the audience will love the drama.”
Sharing her experience, Totini said, “Working with Apurba bhaiya is always a great learning experience. He is very helpful and cooperative. Even after working in two consecutive plays, I’ve learned many new things. Also, Rubel bhai is a director who prepares every scene beforehand instead of relying on editing. This is a wonderful experience for any artiste.”
