Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the premeditated murder of electrician Parvez Hasan (35) in Rupganj, Narayanganj on Sunday night. The suspects are Mehedi Hasan Emon, treasurer of Al-Arafah Islami Bank in Comilla, and Dr. Arman Hossain, associate professor at US-Bangla Medical College Hospital.

According to Rupganj Police Station OC Tariqul Islam, both suspects had homosexual relationships with the victim, leading to a long-standing personal conflict. On the night of July 2, Parvez was lured to the rooftop of a five-story building in the Amlabo area, where he was fatally stabbed. His body was found the next morning in a pool of blood.

Police started an investigation following a case filed by Parvez's family. The accused were arrested during a special drive and later sent to court for further proceedings.

Parvez, originally from Supchar village in Pabna Sadar, had been living as a tenant in the Amlabo area. Police confirmed he died from excessive bleeding after the attack, with no help reaching him through the night.
