A youth was killed by throwing down from a building under construction at Khurushkul road under Tarabania Chora in Cox's Bazar town on Friday noon. Police arrested eight construction workers at this time.
Quoting locals police said that a nine storied building's construction work was going on adjacent to Income Tax office. The owner of the building Abdul Majid said that he was the resident of Kharulia area. A youth was thrown down to the road from this under construction building. Eyewitnesses found him dead on the spot. Later, locals informed the police. Police recovered the body and sent to hospital for autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge of Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station, Khairujjaman said, the deceased was working at the time of incident. Police detained eight workers from the spot. The deceased's identity was not found yet.
