The Bangladesh Bar Council has postponed the written test for the enlistment of lawyers to be held on September 26.
Advocate Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman Badal, chairman of the Bar Council's Human Rights and Legal Aid Committee, said on Sunday that the exams had been postponed due to the inability of Dhaka University and Bangladesh University of Engineering staff to perform their duties in the corona situation.
He said the next date of the examination will be announced soon after discussions. A notice will also be posted on the Bar Council's website suspending the test.
In the face of the student movement, the date of September 26 was fixed for the written test of 13,000 students who had passed the MCQ examination of the Bar Council.
