The World Children’s Day-2019 was observed with various programs in a befitting manner in Manikganj.
On this occasion, a colourful rally was brought out in the town. The elaborate programmes on Children’s Rights Week’s also observed on Monday.
The Children’s Rights Week programmes included discussion on “Amar Kotha Shono”, cultural and literary competition for the primary school students, discussion and distribution of prizes.
The programmes of the ‘International Girl Children Day’ also will be included in these programmes.
Md Saidur Rahman, acting DC in his inaugural speech said, the children rights should be given top priority and the right opportunities for them to grow properly as they will be the worthy citizens in the future. DC added that the children of today would be the leaders of tomorrow and they would lead the nation.
Md Shariful Islam, District Children Affairs Officer also spoke on the occasion.
