Workshop on RTI held in Narail

A daylong workshop on journalism ethics, press council law and code of conduct and information rights to law was held at Circuit House conference room in Narail on Monday. The workshop, organized by the Bangladesh Press Council, from 9:00 am to 3:00.A total of 50 journalists from various print and electronic media working in the district participated in the workshop.

The workshop was inaugurated by Bangladesh Press Council Chairman Justice Mohammad Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed. Through this workshop, professional skills of journalists will be increased, he said. Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Narail Md. Yarul Islam, the resource persons in the workshop were the secretary (Joint-Secretary) of Bangladesh Press Council Md. Shah Alam and member of  Press Council senior journalist Abdul Majid.  

After the workshop, deputy commissioner of Narail Anjuman Ara presided over the distribution of the certificate session at noon while the chief guest Justice Mohammad Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed distributed certificates among the journalist participants. Additional Superintendent of Narail Police Masood Rana, District Information Officer Ibrahim Al-Mamun were present on the occasion.

Narail press club president Enamul Kabir Tuku, general secretary Shamimul Islam Tulu,Bangladesh Post regional correspondent Sultan Mahmood,Editor of local Dainik BD Khabor Liton Dutta and district and upazila correspondents of Daily News Paper, online and TV media were attendent the workshop.
