The annual holy Urs making the 14th death anniversary of Alhaj Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Hamidullah (RA) will be held at Mia Shaheb Maidan Darbar Sharif, situated at Luxmibazar in the old part of Dhaka today (Saturday).
The day-long programme includes Qurankhwani, waz mahfil and milad, putting new Gilab on the Mazar after Fazr prayers, hamd, nath and religious discussion on the life and activities of Alhaj Hazrat Shah Sufi Hamidullah (RA) widely known as the 8th Gaddinisin Pir of this Khankah Sharif.
The akheri munajat will be conducted by present pir (Ninth gaddinissian) and fifth mutawalli of Hazrat Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim.
The programme will begin after Magrib prayers through recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Haji Dr Mohammad Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Md Faruque and Hafez Mohammad Rohmotullah.
The milad mahfil has been organised after the Esha prayers which will be conducted by Alhaj Syed Mohammad Barkatullah Badruddin.
Pesh Imam and Khatib of Shah Saheb's Bari Jame Masjid and other Islamic scholars will participate in discussion.
Later, tabarak will be distributed among the devotees. Convener of the programme Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf has invited all to attend the function, said a press release.
