Unprivileged children get Eid gifts in Rangpur

The ‘Mouchak’, a local tri-monthly literary magazine, distributed Eid gifts, including clothes and cash money, among over 100 unprivileged children and distressed people here on Thursday, reports BSS.

Deputy Director (Local Government) Ruhul Amin Mian distributed the gifts at a function organised by the ‘Mouchak’ family at Rangapur Sahitya Parishat auditorium in the city as the chief guest.

The Eid clothes, gifts and cash money were distributed among the unprivileged streets children, children with special needs, adolescents, distressed women and men to assist them celebrating the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festivity.

Presided over by Chief Adviser of the ‘Mouchak’ Rezaul Karim Mukul, its Publisher and Editor poet Rezaul Karim Jiban moderated the function participated by members of the ‘Mouchak’ family.

Headmaster of Rangpur Shishu Niketon High School Bimal Kumar Roy addressed the function as special guest.

Advisors of ‘Mouchak’ Rabiul Islam Rabi, Aleya Khatun Lovely and Shahina Sultana, its Assistant Editor Kobiraz Ismail Mollah, poets Romana Begum Roma, Mahbuba Lavin, Nahid Afroz Liza and Hayat Mahmud Manik also spoke.

The chief guest lauded the humanitarian initiative of distributing Eid clothes like new ‘Punjabi’, saree, ‘Lungi’, cash money and other goods among the unprivileged children and distressed women and men by the ‘Mouchak’ family.
