A high-level delegation of Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) has visited the University of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVASU) Research and Farm Based Campus (2nd campus).
The four-member delegation visited the campus in Hathazari under the leadership of UGC member Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum on Thursday.
The other members of the team are: UGC's public university management department director Kamal Hossain, Deputy director Mouli Azad and assistant director Hashina Parvin.
Members of the delegation expressed satisfaction at the introduction of two faculties - Faculty of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering and Faculty of Environmental Science on the second campus and other related facilities, including physical infrastructure for student admission.
After the inspection, the committee members met in an official meeting with the CVASU authorities Professor Dr. Gautam Buddha Das Professor, Department of Fisheries Science Faculty Professor Dr. M Nurul Abacher Khan, Dean of Food Science and Technology Faculty Professor Jannatara Khatun attended the program.
Registrar Mirza Faruk Imam, Chief Engineer Shah Mohammad Zillur Rahman, Director (Finance and Accounts) Md. Abul Kalam, Deputy Director (public relations and protocol) Khalilur Rahman, executive engineer and second campus installation director M Selim Morshed and Deputy registrar (CU) Nasir Ahmad.
