Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a raid arrested two alleged drug traders with 592 bottles of Phensedyl from Barobandar Natunpara area under Kotwali police station in Dinajpur district town on Sunday.
"On a tip off, a special team from the Crime Prevention Company (CPC) at Dinajpur Camp of RAB-13 conducted a raid at the house of alleged drug trader Md. Zahid Hossain and arrested the duo with the phensedyl bottles from the spot," a press release said.
The arrested persons are Md. Zahid Hossain, 38, of Barobandar Natunpara area under Kotwali police station and Fizar Mandal, 23, of village Dakshin Sukhdebpur under Chirirbandar upazila in Dinajpur district.
During interrogation, the detainees, allegedly known as the kingpins of drug trading in Dinajpur, admitted that they had been involved in drug trading with their other cohorts for a long time.
After filing a case against the arrested persons in this connection, the elite force handed them over to Kotwali police station in Dinajpur today, the release added.
