Two people died due to snake bite in Chuadanga district on Thursday. Two more are under treatment as well due to snake bite.
The deceased were identified as Debashish, 12, son of Joydeb Pal, resident of Dingedoho village in Chuadanga sadar upazila and Rajon, 16, son of Bula Mia, resident of Bhultia village of the same upazila.
The two of them died while being under treatment due to snake bite at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital on Thursday morning.
The two other who are under treatment due to snake bite are Konika, 17 and Eva, 21, daughters of Hasan Ali, resident of Pitambarpur village in Chuadanga sadar upazila. Both of them are taking treatment in Chuadanga Sadar Hospital as well.
The locals said after Debashish and Rajon was bitten by snake, their family members admitted them both to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital on Thursday morning. However, they died shortly after reaching the hospital.
Moreover, Konika and Eva were admitted to Chuadnga Sadar Hospital as well after being bitten by snake. Resident Medical Officer of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital Dr. Wahid Mahmud Robin said they administer vaccines to the snake bitten people right after they come to the hospital. However, if they are late in coming to the hospital, there is always a chance of death.
The Resident Medical Officer Dr. Wahid Mahmud Robin advised to quickly bring the snake bitten people to hospital due to that.
