Two cousins drowned in a pond of Sreenagar Upazila of in Munshiganj district on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Sezan, son of Akhlas Miah hailed from Kolapara village under Sreenagar upazila and Sakir, son of Md Nasir, hailed from Gazipur district.
According to local sources, two children were riding a boat in a pond of Kushripara village. At one stage, two of them fell into the pond and drowned. Locals rescued them to Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex, but doctors declared them dead.
Emergency department doctor of Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex Shah-Alam confirmed the matter.
