A Truck driver was electrocuted at Kumarkanda village at Lohagora upazila in Narail district on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shipon Sheikh, 38, son of Hakim Sheikh of the village under the upazila.
Victim’s family members said, Shipon had come in contact with a live electric wire while he had been trying to save his neighbor Mujibor Rahman who was also electrocuted by the wire.
Later, Shipon was sent to Lohagora upazila health complex where the attending doctor declared him dead.
Md Mokarom Hossain, Officer in charge of Lohagora thana said, a case was filed in this connection.
