The transfer of three employees who had forged Pabna Mental Hospital director’s signature has been postponed by the Directorate General of Health. The mastermind behind the scheme, operational therapist Md Abdul Awwal has voluntarily handed over his resignation letter and has since left the hospital.

Hospital director Dr Tonmoy Prokash Biswas said, his signature was forged using a scanner and distributed by a fraud ring to the 3 experience employees for a recommendation letter of transfer. The letters were then submitted to the Directorate General of Health.

The three employees were then transferred to different districts based on the recommendation letters. However, once the matter became known the Directorate General was informed about the issue, and a request to postpone the transfer order was also sent.

After the transfer letters were proved to be forged, the transfer order was stopped by the Directorate General of Health. The officials and employees at Pabna Mental Hospital demanded harsh punishment of those involved in this scam.
