Trader killed in Nabinagar

A businessman has been brutally killed at Kanda Para under South Lakshmipur village of Krishnanagar union in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Nasir Mia, 50, son of late Abdul Latif. Nasir was an ice-cream trader. Police recovered his body on Sunday morning.

According to police, Nasir Mia took his dinner at his home at night. At 10.30pm on Saturday night, he told to go to east para of the village. However, he did not return home on that night.

At around 7:30 am on Sunday, a woman named Rosina Begum found the bloody body of Nasir Mia lying at Jalal Mia's garden house on the eastern outskirts. However, Nasir Mia left behind four girls and a boy.

On an information, Nabinagar police recovered the body and took it to the police station. Sub-Inspector (SI) of Nabinagar Police Station Abdul Aziz Sheikh said the right ear of the victim was cut off and right eye pounded. The murderers killed him brutally. Officer-in-Charge of Nabinagar Police Station Ronojeet Roy said no case has been filed yet. We will take necessary steps after investigation.
