Tnusree Chakraborty is all geared up for her new film, ‘Zombiesthaan’. She even shared the film’s first poster on social media. The poster has India map which is covered in dark and there is a place which has three ways. The route is burning. Poster looks very intriguing and interesting.
‘Zombiesthaan’ is a post-apocalyptic adventure and Bengal’s first zombie film. The film will be set in future in 2030 when, in an event called Black Day, a mysterious bio-chemical weapon infects a vast majority of the world population most of the human population has turned into zombies or has been killed by zombies. Governments fall and all telecommunications systems go out of order. The world gets destroyed and barely 5% of the population is still alive.
In such a situation there is a lone survivor in Bengal named Akira (Tnusree). She believes there is a safe place for the VIPs and she will survive if she can reach to that place and she then travels through the wastelands of Bengal. The film will focus on her journey for survival. During her journey she will meet various type of persons and will gather different experiences.
The film follows her journey. During her travels, she comes across Anil Chatterjee (Rudranil Ghosh), a recluse who has turned his house into a fortress and believes that the era of humans is over. Talking about her character in the film, the actress said, “I play the protagonist and the film is about my journey. I was blown away by the video director Abhirup Ghosh had made on zombies. It’s a completely new idea that got me hooked. At a time when Bengali films are made on a tight budget, executing a film like this is a tough job. I am happy that a director has tried to do something so different! In the film, I have experimented with my look too.” Tnusree said the shoot is already on and will take a while to complete.
