Tigers have already started their final homework today (Friday) on their way to World Cup mission in Australia with taking on Pakistan in the Tri-nation tournament in New Zealand.

It would be a very much useful playing in the Tri-nation tournament because ultimately and of course, it's all about the World Cup preparation and this tri-series is just not a tri-series anymore.

In many ways Tigers will have the opportunity to capitalise the advantages of participating in the Tri-nation tournament, when there have chance to mend with player combinations and strategies in competitive match situations in apparently similar conditions.

It will be a great support for some of the players to build up their mental intensity, temperament to play in the World Cup stage.

Bangladesh and Pakistan, both the sides are in the same World Cup group, and face off against each other in their final pool game in Adelaide in a month.  didn't get a chance to meet at the Asia Cup, so two or three games in the tournament might throw up a big deal could support in the World Cup to obtain a small statistical edge. Tigers have  no any pleasant memory in the last five weeks being eliminated from the first round following losses to Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup.

An unconvincing pair of wins over the UAE might be some solace but almost every game in the Tri-nation will provide fuel to the fire, though it depends on how well the Hagley Oval serves its function as a World Cup warm-up destination.

But if the Tigers could win any of four matches of the first league phase, that would be a huge boost up for them before to go Australia, even if they could through challenges displaying fighting spirit against Pakistan and the hosts New Zealand will also be a big inspiration for them.

In absence of experienced players like Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal, for the newcomers it is a perfect platform to prove them that they are skilled enough to play in the highest level competition of Cricket World Cup with performing at their optimum level in the Tri-nation tournament.

The acting captain of the team Nurul Hassan also said during the logo unveiling function that the Tr-nationa tournament might be an inspiration for them in the World Cup in Australia, as playing against team like New Zealand and Pakistan would be great experiences.
