Three electric sub-stations being constructed in Jashore

Three electric sub-stations at a cost of Taka 500 million (50 crore) are being constructed in Jashore. Each 33-KVA sub-station is being constructed at Jhumurpukur BSCIC area, Ghop Central road area and Cantonment area of the town. Officials of Power Development Board in Jashore informed, an uninterrupted supply of electricity will be ensured in the town following the completion of construction of the sub-stations. According to sources there are some 90,000 clients of electricity under two circles of Jeshore Electic sales and supply division. The supply of electricity in the town often get hampered due to shortages of sub-stations. 

As a result, those three sub-stations are being constructed to ensure supply of uninterrupted electricity, which are expected to be completed by December this year. 

Rezaul Karim, Executive Engineer of Jashore Electric Sales and Supply division-2 informed, activities have been started to develop the electric system in Jashore. Now, uninterrupted electricity is being supplied to Jashore through the national grid without any load shedding. With the completion of construction of three more sub-stations, there will be no problem with electric supply system in Jashore.
