The school goes under water after rainfall

The school authorities shut the classes even after a slight rainfall when the school ground and suburbs goes under knee-deep water. The situation has been prevailing at Baruria Government Primary School at Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah.

The school was established in 1978. A total of 109 students are studying there. The teachers and minor learners face trouble in the monsoon. The children cannot attend the class at the time.

Badsha Mollah, Ohidul Islam, Mansur Ali and some other guardians said environment of the school becomes misery. Finding no other alternative they refrain from sending their children for study in the school.

Headmaster of Baruria Government Primary School Jahurul Islam said they had informed the matter to the authorities concerned. But there is no result till now.

Managing committee’s president Shamsuddin Joarder said that only some earth work could solve the problems of the school.
