Tahsan, Mithila pair up for web series ‘Baji’

In a much-anticipated reunion, celebrated actors Tahsan Khan and Rafiath Rashid Mithila are all set to grace screens together once again in the upcoming web series "Baji". Directed by Arifur Rahman, renowned for his work on "Matir Projar Deshe", the series is poised to captivate audiences with its blend of talent and storytelling prowess. The first seven episodes are slated for release on an OTT platform during the approaching Eid-ul-Azha festivities.

While official announcements from the cast and crew are yet to surface, insiders close to the production have confirmed that Tahsan and Mithila have been diligently preparing for their roles over several months. Alongside the dynamic duo, the series boasts an ensemble cast featuring several other prominent stars, promising a compelling narrative experience for viewers.

Sources familiar with the project revealed that the initial phase of shooting, comprising the first seven episodes, has already been completed at a capital city hotel a few months ago. The production team is now gearing up for the next phase of filming, signaling the series' steady progression towards its much-anticipated premiere.

In "Baji", Tahsan Khan steps into the shoes of a cricketer, while Mithila portrays the character of a journalist, setting the stage for an intriguing tale of passion, ambition, and perhaps, unexpected connections.

Tahsan and Mithila, once a beloved real-life couple who tied the knot in 2007 and parted ways amicably in 2017, have continued to enchant audiences with their on-screen chemistry despite their personal separation. Their collaborative efforts in dramas such as "Amar Golpe Tumi", "Mr & Mrs", and "Landphoner Din Gulote Prem" have left an indelible mark on audiences, cementing their status as one of the industry's most beloved pairs.

Meanwhile, Mithila's recent portrayal in the acclaimed film "O Abhagi", based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's timeless story, has garnered widespread acclaim. Directed by Anirban Chakraborty, the film premiered in West Bengal on March 31, with Mithila's stellar performance earning accolades and further solidifying her reputation
