Rail communication between Sylhet and Dhaka-Chittagong has been temporarily suspended due to derailment of a bogie of an oil-carrying train near Bhatera station in Kulaura, Moulvibazar, Sylhet.

The incident took place on Tuesday (September 15) morning, railway authorities said. Sylhet railway station manager Khalilur Rahman confirmed the information of bogie train derailment.

Authorities say a bogie suddenly derailed when an oil tanker arrived at Bhatera railway station in the morning. Due to this, rail communication with Dhaka and Chittagong is temporarily closed. Work is underway to rescue derailed bogies to normalize rail communication. It was not immediately clear if there was any damage in the incident.
