Swapan Chowdhury (Dainik Anandabazar & Bangladesh Post) and Humayun Kabir Manik (Dainik Karatoa) have been elected as the new president and general secretary of City Press Club, Rangpur (CPCR).
Members of CPCR unanimously elected the new biennial 13-member executive committee for the next two-year term at the annual general meeting arranged at Burirhat Baganbari here last night with Swapan Chowdhury in the chair, a press release said today.
The other executive committee members are: Senior Vice-president Jewel Ahmed (Bangla Vision), Vice President SM Khalil Babu (Dainik Barta and Dainik Saif), Joint Secretary Mostafizar Rahman Bablu (Amader Natun Samoy), Treasurer Rezaul Karim Jibon (Dhaka Mail), Office Secretary Ali Haider Rony (Ekushey TV), Publicity Secretary Fuad Hassan (Maasranga TV), Sports & Cultural Secretary Zakir Ahmad (Dainik Dabanol) and Sports Secretary Hameem Abdullah (Dainik Mat Prokash).
Shakil Ahmed (Dainik Saif), Sayeed Mofidul Haque Babu (The Financial Express) and Uday Chandra Barman (Daily Jugantor) have been elected as the executive members of the new executive committee.
