Sufi Mizan Foundation donates ambulance to Ctg General Hospital

The Sufi Mizan Foundation has donated an ambulance at the request of Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel for the use of patients and those involved in medical services at the 250-bed Chattogram General Hospital in Anderkilla.

 Civil Surgeon of Chattogram District and Acting Caretaker of Chattogram General Hospital Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi presided over the ambulance delivery ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Special guests were Chattogram Divisional Health Director Dr. Hasan Shahriar Kabir, Chattogram City Corporation Chief Health Officer Dr. Selim Akhter Chowdhury, PHP Auto Mobile Managing Director Md. Akhtar Parvez Hiru, Senior Consultant Dr. Ajay Das, CCC Councilor Zahur Lal Hazari, Nurul Alam Mia spoke this occasion. Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel said Chattogram General Hospital has been providing the highest level of services since the outbreak of Corona virus.  The hospital's own ambulance crisis has caused problems in transporting patients.   Those involved in medical care often have to deal with transportation problems to get home after a long night's work, so they agreed to provide the PHP group with an ambulance.

The Deputy Minister of Education expressed hope that the suffering of the patients and those involved in the medical services at the General Hospital will be lessened due to the availability of this ambulance.

He thanked the Sufi Mizan Foundation for coming forward in the service of humanity as in the past.

Deputy Minister of Education said, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has always been working for the development of the health sector.  

The Awami League government led by Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has proposed an allocation of Tk 10,000 crore in the 2021-22 budget to address corona, Tk 32,731 crore in the health sector and Tk 100 crore in health education and technology research.  There was no precedent of any previous government in Bangladesh to allocate such a huge amount in the health sector.  It was made possible due to the dedicated efforts of Bangabandhu's daughter.

Dr. Hasan ShahriarKabir said that Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury has provided safety equipment to the Chattogram General Hospital at various times including Tk 7 lakh in cash since the beginning of the Nawfel Corona crisis.  I would like to thank the Deputy Minister of Education for his pioneering role in the development of this hospital.

Md. Akhtar ParvezHiru said that the Sufi Mizan Foundation of PHP Group is providing a modern ambulance to Chattogram General Hospital at the request of Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel.

He said that PHP Group and Sufi Mizan Foundation will continue to work for human welfare in the coming days as well.
